WAVES @ Belmont World Film's 23rd International Film Series, Freedom on Film

Week 3 of Belmont World Film's 23rd International Film Series, "Freedom on Film", features the New England premiere of the Czech film Waves. Set during the Prague Spring of 1968 and the aftermath of the Warsaw Pact Invasion, this hsitorical thriller follows Tomas and his fellow journalists risk their lives to broadcast uncensored information, confronting state censorship and secret police surveillance. The Czech Republic's submission for the Best International Feature Film Oscar.
