About Cambridge Office for Tourism
Welcome!
We’re proud to serve as the engine for Cambridge’s visitor economy.
Our work elevates Cambridge on the national and global stage, bringing visitors and events that strengthen Cambridge’s local economy, support businesses citywide, and showcase Cambridge’s unique blend of history, innovation, culture and spirit.
Who We Are
The Cambridge Office for Tourism is the only organization solely focused on promoting Cambridge as a destination—supporting commercial districts and strengthening Cambridge’s visibility locally, nationally, and internationally.
For decades, we’ve connected visitors directly to Cambridge businesses, cultural institutions, restaurants, hotels, and neighborhoods, supporting jobs and helping sustain a vibrant citywide economy.
What We Do
We help Cambridge stand out in a competitive global travel market. Our work includes:
- Promoting Cambridge to visitors, travelers, event planners, and businesses, both nationally and internationally, through marketing and media outreach
- Connecting visitors to local businesses, events, and cultural experiences
- Supporting the local hospitality industry by serving as an extension of their marketing teams
- Linking meeting and event planners to local venues and suppliers
- Operating the Cambridge KiOSK in Harvard Square with visitor information
Why It Matters
Tourism is a major driver of Cambridge’s economy—and Cambridge’s identity is distinct. We help Cambridge tell its story in a way that reflects the city’s values while supporting local business growth.
Without a strong citywide voice, Cambridge limits national and global visibility and the associated spending that travel and tourism contributes to resilient commercial districts.
