The Ellwood Epps Quartet

The Ellwood Epps Quartet

The Creative Music Series is proud to present a comeback and a premier. Canadian trumpeter Ellwood Epps plays his first concert following two years of enforced public silence. This will be the debut performance of a brand new ensemble, uniting four of Boston's most vital and energetic improvising musicians. The Ellwood Epps Quartet presents Ellwood Epps and Forbes Graham on the trumpet, Nathan McBride on the Bass and Francisco Mela on the drums. Born in Toronto in 1976, trumpeter Ellwood Epps lives and works in Boston, where he has worked with Eric Zinman, Gylnis Lomon, Matt Crane, Luther Gray, and Steven Lantner. Epps lived in Montreal for 16 years, where he co-founded the l'Envers venue, the Mardi Spaghetti series, and the Festival of New Trumpet Music Canada.
