The Dance Complex Hosts Dance Now Boston

DANCE NOW Boston announced its eighth season program, continuing its partnership with The Bang Group and choreographer David Parker for two weekends of performances on February 19-20 and 26-27 at the Dance Complex. Saturday performances will take place at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday performances will be at 7:00 p.m. Virtual tickets are also available for the final performance on Sunday, Feb. 27. Tickets can be purchased online.

This year, The Bang Group will present excerpts from choreographer David Parker’s original all-dance re-imagining of “Annie Get Your Gun” called “ShowDown” with recordings from the Irving Berlin classic. The performance unravels Berlin’s “Annie Get Your Gun’s” theme of a showdown between the sexes, the lure of show business plus the juncture of love and ambition, reassembles them with grace and vigor into a wholly new experience.

Please also note that in order to attend an in-person performance, all guests must show either proof of vaccination, a negative PCR COVID test from the last 72 hours or a negative Antigen test from the last 24 hours. Either the physical copy of the vaccination/test result or a photo will be accepted. Masks must be worn by attendees throughout the performance and at all times while in public spaces within the building.
