Kantika Album Release Concert

Experience the hotly anticipated release of Kantika, the new Ladino album from Tutti Druyan, Shaqed Druyan, and Edmar Colón.

Kantika, which means “song” in the old language of Ladino (Judeo-Spanish), is a musical project that contains hypnotizing melodies, captivating soundscapes, and powerful lyrics. Kantika brings together traditional Sephardic songs with newly composed music and lyrics in English, creating a seamless blend between the two languages to complement one another both in the music and in the text.By abstracting aesthetics from different musical genres and putting this endangered language in the forefront, Kantika promises to be an exciting connection between music and the hope of the preservation of language.
