Gallery Talk: Future Minded: New Works in the Collection

Join curatorial fellow Madeline Murphy Turner on Tuesday, June 25 at 12:30pm as she examines two works on paper by Ana Mendieta, both of which are featured in the exhibition "Future Minded: New Works in the Collection" (March 1–July 21, 2024). Together, we will discuss the role of water, fire, and earth in these works and in Mendieta’s broader performance practice.

"Future Minded" highlights a selection of works acquired in recent years that exemplify the Harvard Art Museums’ collecting vision and strategies. Nearly all are on display for the first time. Please check in with museum staff at the Visitor Services desk in the Calderwood Courtyard to request to join the gallery talk. Talks are limited to 18 people and are available on a first-come, first-served basis; no registration is required.
