Gallery Talk: Feminist Photography East of the Iron Curtain

Join curator Lynette Roth for a close look at recent additions to the Busch-Reisinger Museum collection on Thursday, Aug. 8. In the 1970s and 1980s, the body-based photographic practices of East German artist Gabriele Stötzer and Polish artist Natalia LL challenged officially sanctioned art making and gender disparities in socialist states during the Cold War. Please check in with museum staff at the Visitor Services desk in the Calderwood Courtyard to request to join the gallery talk. Talks are limited to 18 people and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is not required.
