Boston JerkFest Caribbean Foodie Festival

Boston JerkFest Caribbean Foodie Festival

Top local and regional Caribbean restaurants and caterers cook up jerk-inspired creations on Saturday, July 13 at Boston JerkFest. The festival offers authentic Caribbean, international, and local food, including spicy meals, desserts, and drinks. Festival attendees can taste and judge alongside a Boston-based panel of foodies in the Seafood Throwdown and Jerk Cook-off. The Kids & Culture Zone offers children’s activities including story telling, dance, poetry, bead therapy, face painting, on-site steel drum classes, and other hand-on activities to enjoy. The VIP Reggae Lounge is the adult hang-out spot, with games such as dominos, cocktail demos, and lots of adult fun. The Reggae Bar on Saturday will include beer, wine, rum punch, and Caribbean cocktails for sale.

This year’s festival promotes local seafood that is abundantly available and underutilized. A portion of the proceeds of this event supports Sustainable Food and Culture, a 501-c-3 organization supporting cultural initiatives in Massachusetts and beyond. Advance general admission tickets are $30 for adults and $6 for children ages 11–14. Admission is free for children ages 10 and under. Rum & Brew Tasting is for 21+ year old attendees and advance tickets are $40. VIP tickets are 2-day passes and are $100. Advance sale 2-day general admission passes are $65.
