Community Art Center: Artist Talk & Book Signing

Join Cambridge-raised artists, Sean Alonzo Harris and Dr. Myrah Brown Green in a fireside chat and book signing

While Community Art Center’s exhibit: A Place Called Home wraps the walls of Street Theory Collective Gallery, guests are invited to join two celebrated Black artists, honoring their Cambridge roots. Explore what this place called “home” has meant to them, the early influences that nurtured their success, how growing up in Cambridge shaped their creativity, and the role community has played in their lives.

This fireside chat will include Sean Alonzo Harris, who attended Community Art Center when he was little, and is now a professional photographer based in Maine. There will also be open discussion and reflections from artist and author, Dr. Myrah Brown Green who has just released her newest book, “Keepers of a Movement: Celebrating the Black Collector”. Dr. Green will be available to sign and autograph her art-quality edition book after the chat.
