2nd Annual Local Craft Spirit Festival | October 20

The 2nd Annual Local Craft Spirits Festival is happening right here in Cambridge on Friday evening and we (and our tastebuds) can’t wait.

Hosted by the Sustainable Business Network the festival will feature all of your favorites and your soon-to-favorite breweries, local spirits, artisan beverage brewers and local goodies all in one epic tasting festival.

In addition to all the fabulous drinks and local food that you’ll sample, you’ll have the opportunity to help choose Boston’s “Best Local Craft Mixologist” at the Craft Cocktail Throwdown. Sounds like a perfect way to spend a Friday evening if you ask us.

Outdoor Movie Night in Harvard Square | October 20

This Friday night, see a movie under the stars in Harvard Square thanks to the folks at the Harvard Square Business Association and the Harvard COOP! Palmer Street will transform into a movie theater, complete with chairs, popcorn, and the movie, of course! We suggest bringing your own blanket, in case it gets a little chilly.

Bring a movie date (or your family and friends) to view the 1978 romantic comedy classic featuring Princess Buttercup and her trials in the land of Florin.

53rd Annual Head of the Charles | October 21 + 22

One of our favorite fall traditions is back and bigger than ever, the 53rd Annual Head of the Charles Regatta.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Charles River will be studded with the best crew teams from around the world and the banks along both sides of the river will be filled with cheering spectators.

The two-day competition is a time-honored tradition here in Cambridge and one definitely worth adding to your calendar this weekend

A Stranger Evening: An Original 80s Halloween Party | October 27

Strange things are happening at the Kimpton Hotel Marlowe & Bambara Kitchen + Bar and you’re invited to see it all this Halloween! Join the party on October 27th and experience the sights and sounds of the hit Netflix original series “Stranger Things,” combined with a classic 80s theme for the perfect Halloween night out. Don your perfect spandex leggings and make your hair as big as it can possibly get and prepare for an epic night.

All tickets holders will dance the night away to DJ Kupah James, indulge on 80s themed food- including an Eggo station, and be treated to two drink tickets. VIP ticket holders will be treated to access to a private bar, a customized trucker hat, and complimentary parking.

Fall Foliage Tour | October 28 + 29

One of the best ways to see the stunning fall foliage is by boat- a riverboat that is! Next weekend, be sure to mark the Fall Foliage Tours by the Charles Riverboat Company on your calendars. On Saturday and Sunday, enjoy a 90-minute cruise down the Charles River. You’ll have front row seats to the fall foliage as you cruise by MIT and Harvard, all while sipping on apple cider and chowing down on cookies and apples.

Central Scare at the Central Flea | October 29

Celebrate Halloween and the last Central Flea of the season next Sunday, October 29th in Central Square. Boasting vintage and antique furniture dealers, music, local food, artists and designers, and so much more, the Central Flea is a must-see event.

In addition to the fabulousness that is the Central Flea (if you haven’t checked it out yet, what are you waiting for?) the flea is about to get scary- Central Scare scary to be exact. Wear your scariest costume for the costume contest and carve pumpkins.
