The Ginkgo House Boutique Inn is a stunning example of historical Victorian architecture, and its name is inspired by the pair of Ginkgo trees that grace the front of the property. The house was originally built in 1867 by Mr. Isaac Harding, a prominent Cambridge grocer who commissioned the construction of a two-family structure for himself and his daughter. Over the years, the property underwent several major renovations and was eventually converted into a lodging house in the early 20th century. The most recent renovation was completed in 1997 by the previous owners, who converted the property into a charming bed and breakfast while thoughtfully preserving many of the original architectural details such as the crown moldings and elegant pinewood stairways.
