1. Cambridge Taste 2025

Cambridge Taste is back and tastier than ever! On Tuesday, June 24, sample dishes from top local chefs, sip craft drinks, and discover your new favorite spot at University Park. Pro tip: come hungry and bring your friends.

2. Paddle the Charles River

Rent a kayak, paddleboard, or canoe through Paddle Boston and soak in skyline views from the water. Plus, a canoe or kayak on the Charles River offers an unbeatable spot to watch Boston’s Fourth of July fireworks. It’s a relaxing way to spend an afternoon, solo or with a group.

3. Charles River Boat Company

Step aboard the Charles River Boat Company’s Tiki Cruise for a tropical getaway right in the city. Featuring vibrant Tiki décor, a fun playlist, expertly crafted cocktails, and stunning skyline views, this cruise offers public, private and corporate options, perfect for any occasion or group size.

4. City Dance Party

Kick off summer at the Citywide Dance Party on Friday, June 27, from 6 to 11 p.m. outside Cambridge City Hall. With DJ-spun music, vibrant lights, and thousands dancing in the streets, it’s one of the city’s most beloved free events. This year, the party features an revolutionary theme in celebration of the Massachusetts 250. Take the Red Line to Central Square or bike in and use one of the valet stations. Rain or shine, all are welcome.

5. DIY Brewery Tour

Grab a few friends and check out Cambridge’s local beer scene. Lamplighter Brewing Co. has two great locations—at Kendall Square and Cambridge Crossing. Remnant Brewing also opened a Satellite taproom in North Cambridge.

6. Cambridge Jazz Festival

Settle in on the lawn at Danehy Park for a weekend of live jazz, food trucks, and community vibes at the Cambridge Jazz Festival. This free two-day event runs July 26–27 and is a summer favorite for a reason.

7. Cool Off at a Splash Pad

8. Take Part in Mass 250 Events

This year marks 250 years since the American Revolution began, and Cambridge is full of history. Join in on the celebration of Mass 250 with walking tours, talks, special events, and be sure to visit the Longfellow House Washington’s Headquarters National Historic Site, which highlights the city’s role in the founding of the country.

10. 31st Cambridge Carnival International

Mark your calendar for the 31st Cambridge Carnival International on Sunday, September 7. This free event features vibrant costumes, Caribbean rhythms, international eats, and a grand costume parade that fills the streets with color and celebration.
