If you haven’t seen the Cambridge Art Association’s newest exhibition Blue yet, we have the perfect event for you.
Attend the Opening Reception of the 2017 Blue Biennial, juried by Vera Ingrid Grant, the director of the Ethelbert Cooper Gallery of African and African American Art. Because this opening reception is so exciting it’s happening at both of their galleries- Kathryn Schultz (25 Lowell St) and University Place Gallery (124 Mt Auburn St).

See two of the world’s most highly regarding banjo players at the Sanders Theatre this Thursday evening. The husband and wife duo fearlessly explore both Appalachian and Chinese folk music traditions. This is not your average banjo concert. You’ll leave with a new appreciation of the banjo.

ANNUAL EVENT
The 134th Playing of the Game | November 18
One of the oldest rivalries in college football will meet again this Saturday afternoon and we could not be more excited. If you’re in Cambridge weekend, we suggest wearing your Crimson best and you’ll definitely want to avoid the color blue.
Harvard University’s football team the Crimson will play Yale’s football team, the Bulldogs at Yale’s Stadium. Although the game won’t be on our home turf, we still recommend watching the game in Harvard Square. Once you bike into the square or hop off the Red Line, you’ll feel the energy.

RUN
CambridgeSide Half-Marathon | November 19
The second annual Cambridge Half-Marathon will take place this Sunday morning at 7:30a. The marathon will start and end at the newly renovated CambridgeSide. After the runners have completed the race, the post-race party will begin on the third level of the mall and on the garage level A. Expect to devour delicious breakfast items while listening to a jazz band on the third level or dance to a DJ in the garage.
Want to know what’s even better than the second half-marathon happening in Cambridge? A portion of the race proceeds will benefit Cambridge Camping, which helps kids go to summer camp!
Please note: If you plan on driving around town on Sunday, please be mindful of street closings. The City of Cambridge is anticipating traffic delays, and because of this, we suggest considering an alternative route during your visit. Luckily the event organizers have a handy map of the marathon’s routeas well as exactly which streets will be closed this Sunday so you will be prepared!
