Hi there! I'm Jess Levy, the blogger behind Champagne Thursday. It is focused personal style, but there's a little bit of everything in there. My signature is my pink hair. I dyed it a few years ago, but the longer I have it, the more I think it's the color hair I was always meant to have! You can follow me on IG at @champagne_thursday.
I love Cambridge. Because it's not around the corner from where I work or live, it always feels like a special occasion when I make it over there. Even if I'm initially there to doing a quick errand, I'll end up stay all day because the charm sucks me in! Since the holidays are here, I'm sharing a few of my favorite locally owned shops. These spots are the perfect resource for finding that unique gift my friends and family are sure to love:
Black Ink
This is a quirky little shop filled with a ton of goodies. It's a perfect place to find stocking stuffers, as well as find something really unique for the hard-to-shop-for person. I especially love the kids items here!
Niche
This is a green thumb's heaven. A plant is a perfect gift for a hostess or for an office-friend. (Admittedly, I will likely buy something for myself when I'm here.) The holidays are filled with lots of edible goods, and the gift of a plant is a refreshing change. A lot of plant varieties are really affordable too!
Harvard Book Store
A good bookstore can suck me in for hours. This is a locally-owned independent bookstore and has been Cambridge mainstay since the 30s. If I'm stuck on what to get someone, I can probably find the answer at Harvard Book Store.
CambridgeSide
As much as I love shopping at boutiques, I find that every holiday season needs a reliable mall to turn to. CambridgeSide just went through a massive renovation. It's bright and cheerful inside, and I can knock out a ton of gifts in one stop. Added bonus: They have a big garage so you can easily drive/park there, and not have to drag your purchases on the T.
