Tiny & Short: Micro Performances

Performing artists investigate the constructions of space and time as a means to expand the structures and structures of their form. Movement, comedy, music and spoken word may find new freedom through tight spaces and time limits! In the open air of Starlight Stage, Tiny & Short: Micro Performances immerses audiences in the exciting and dynamic results of these creative challenges. Performances take shape in three ways: via one-minute solos, on a 4 x 4 foot stage, and through "short" works of eight minutes or less. Curatorial associate Jimena Bermejo, a performance artist who pushes the boundaries of intimacy between audience and artist, offers her fresh perspective. This event will create an environment where the definition of performance will be challenged and the range of works will offer something for everyone.
