Everyone can be an art and food critic on the Off The Beaten Path Food Tours’ Central Square Food and Mural Arts Tour. This fun tour runs Tuesday at 7 p.m. and is just one of many Cambridge food tours offered by OTBPFT. Tickets must be purchased online in advance.
Central Square is home to a vibrant public art scene including iconic Graffiti Alley, a sanctioned graffiti walkway that changes daily, and a variety of impressive large scale murals commissioned by the city from award-winning local talent. Friendly, local guides will take guests along Massachusetts Avenue to discover the evolution of the area and the ever-increasing importance of self expression. Uncover the artists and meaning behind these dynamic murals. Enjoy delicious, diverse eats from local independent establishments including a retro diner, a non-profit community store and a classy, Italian neighborhood hangout. Guests may be invited to try a local drink on this tour, and the lucky ones may even get a special tour of a hidden passageway.
