Project Seahorse Director and Cofounder Amanda Vincent has dedicated her career to understanding and advocating for seahorses, which serve as a flagship species for a wide range of marine conservation issues. Hear how her determination and optimism is saving not only these iconic sea creatures but also the worldโ€™s oceans on Thursday, Sept. 30. This free virtual event is presented by the Harvard Museum of Natural History and the Harvard Museums of Science & Culture in collaboration with the Indianapolis Prize of the Indianapolis Zoological Society, Inc.

Amanda Vincent, 2021 Indianapolis Prize winner, is a professor at the Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries at The University of British Columbia. She is credited with bringing the worldโ€™s attention to the 44 known species of seahorses and with developing a collaborative approach to marine conservation that is also improving the status of many other marine fishes, such as sharks, rays, groupers and eels.
