SpaceTime TeaTime

February 28 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

MIT physics professor Scott Hughes and his students invite participants to explore the weird and wonderful world of time travel and black hole physics. Using movies and television as a jumping-off point, the session examines different facets of astrophysical relativity and how they connect to history, technology, pop culture, and our understanding of the universe today.

This special afternoon “relativi-tea” includes a traditional tea service with a selection of teas, pastries, and finger sandwiches, offering a tasty complement to conversations about the mysteries of time and space near a black hole.

Attendees with dietary restrictions are encouraged to email kswilson@mit.edu.
Admission is $15 general, $5 for MIT ID holders.
