Do It Your Damn Self!! National Youth Film Festival

Do It Your Damn Self!! National Youth Film Festival (DIYDS!!) is the longest-running youth film festival in the country. Started in 1996 by 6 girls at Community Art Center – it continues to be youth driven and youth led. Originating as a platform to combat one-dimensional portrayals of Black and Brown youth, the spirit of the film festival remains.

Many films continue to reflect themes of social justice, explore complex issues of identities, and center the perspectives of historically marginalized groups. Come experience this unique showcase of films mad by filmmakers age 15-19 from around the world.
