Boston Calling, the three-day, multi-stage music festival returns to the Harvard Athletic Complex this Memorial Day weekend and it promises to be better than ever.
Although the music festival doesn’t take place in Cambridge, the easiest way to actually get to Boston Calling is through Harvard Square. Simply hop off the T at Harvard Station, cross over the Anderson Memorial Bridge and presto, you’re at Boston Calling. Whether you’d like to hang in Harvard Square before or after the festival, we’ve got plenty of ideas to add to your Boston Calling experience.

After you’ve sung along to your favorite musician or danced the night away, you’re bound to be hungry. Grab your festival buddies and head over to Grendel’s Den(an institution here in Cambridge) in Harvard Square to refuel. You simply can’t go wrong with their patio seating, a local brew, and burger sure to satisfy your hunger.

CONTINUE THE FUN | After Parties at The Sinclair
Just because the music has ended for the day, that doesn’t mean the music stops in Harvard Square. Attend the Boston Calling After Partiesat the Sinclair after the festival ends on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. You’ll get to continue the fun and see major acts in The Sinclair’s intimate venue.
ATTEND THE FILM FESTIVAL | Brattle Theatre
Did you know that Boston Calling isn’t just a music festival? In addition to music, arts, and comedy, the festival is adding the first ever Boston Calling Film Festival curated by Natalie Portman.
See the curated film festival at the Brattle Theatreon May 22 through 24. The festival will showcase films that feature similar themes told from the perspective of male and female directors.
WATCH THE SUNSET FROM A ROOF DECK | Daedalus (and/or) Felipe’s
If you’re looking to relax after a full day of festivities, we recommend watching the sunset from Daedalusor Felipe’sroof deck.
